The Leighton Project offers the two year community-based further education project that leads to the achievement of the Essential Skills Award. This award is for 16 - 25 year olds and focuses on improving:
The course involves learning through art, drama, music, gardening and cooking and builds confidence through learning experiences travelling on public transport, visiting banks, libraries and sports centres, supermarkets, museums and galleries.

The Leighton Project ensures the course includes inividually tailored learning plans and regular meetings with your tutor.
Courses start in September and run through the academic year. See below for this year's term dates.
