Emily is taking on a mega challenge for Elfrida Rathbone Camden; the Race to the Stones ultra marathon running 100km in 2 days from 16th July 2016.

Emily has always been an avid runner but only started to take on long distances more recently. On Sunday 15th May 2016 she completed her first marathon and is currently completing 5-10km runs during the week and cross-training by way of cycling, as well as undertaking long distance runs at the weekends.

As well as supporting the charity with their expertise and fundraising, Arup have agreed to contribute to Emily’s fundraising efforts:

  • If the amount raised by staff is between £100 – £500, Arup will contribute £50

  • If the amount raised by staff is over £500, Arup will contribute 10% of the total amount raised!

Please support Emily by sponsoring her and writing a message of encouragement…

John Lewis OSJohn Lewis began trading in 1964 on London’s Oxford Street and has grown to become the largest omni-channel retailer in the UK with 46 John Lewis shops (32 department stores, 12 John Lewis at home and shops at St Pancras International and Heathrow Terminal 2) and a growing online business – The Partnership has over 90,000 Partners who share in the benefits and profits of a business.

Contributing to the wellbeing of our communities was written into our Constitution by our founder John Spedan Lewis and remains a priority for us today. We believe that the most meaningful way we can do this is by understanding communities’ needs and drawing on our strengths to make a lasting difference. Elfrida Rathbone Camden has been chosen as the Charity of the year 2016 by John Lewis Oxford Street after having been nominated by Partners. This means that Elfrida Rathbone Camden will benefit from volunteering and fundraising activities throughout the year.
