This is an exciting opportunity for someone to directly work with families with children aged 0 – 4 as part of a multi-agency framework.
The Senior Family Support Worker will provide support and advice to families with children under 4 in a variety of settings and link families into appropriate provision to help them to access resources and services in the community. The postholder will also supervise other staff.
The successful applicant will be based at Sure Start Kilburn Priory at Kilburn Grange Children’s Centre for 4 days a week and at Elfrida Rathbone Camden for one day a week.
Applicants for the post should have significant previous experience of working with families with children aged 0 – 4 years old and assessing their needs whilst working in partnership with parents. They should also have experience of using the tools of integrated working and Common Assessment Framework, have excellent communication and organisational skills and experience of supervising other staff.

Elfrida Rathbone Camden, established in 1982, provides a range of services to both families under stress and people with learning difficulties or disabilities. Projects include Parents & Co which provides home based family support work, parenting groups and courses; the SEN Advocacy Service which offices advice to families with children with special educational needs; the Leighton Project which gives independent living skills to young people and the 7 O’clock club which is a youth club for young people with learning disabilities or physical disabilities.
