IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS IN WORKING WITH GROUPS OF PARENTS
2 half-day workshops at Elfrida Rathbone Camden for practitioners who want to use groups to improve outcomes for service users:
BUILDING YOUR CONFIDENCE IN WORKING WITH GROUPS
A workshop for groupwork/parenting practitioners working within a variety of settings wanting to gain in confidence and knowledge. This workshop will give participants the opportunity to develop:
- their confidence as groupwork/parenting practitioners and recognise their strengths and expertise in carrying out their roles within their organisation’s settings
- their skills as group and parenting practitioners in identifying the group of parents that they work with and adapting their style and courses to meet those needs.
PLANNING YOUR GROUPWORK PROGRAMME
A workshop enabling groupworkers/practitioners and those working within the field to think, devise and construct a course tailored to meet the needs of their unique client group within the community. The course will include the following:
- developing strategies and approaches for consultation with parents
- drawing up and designing courses targeted to specific group needs
- developing unique individual and organisational styles of working.
These workshops will be led by Sipora Levy who has been delivering and leading ERC’s programme of parent support groups for over ten years.
