Volunteering

Volunteering to become a Community Champion

We offering the opportunity to become involved in your local community and are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer with us and become Community Champions.

Volunteering will look different for everybody; we will try to ensure you volunteer the skills you have and are passionate about or develop your interests. These could be: cooking, community organising, event planning, event running, community conversations, graphic design, workshops, yoga, sports, leading trips around London or out of London, and many more.

In addition to this, a Community Champion is somebody who is present in the community day to day. Part of volunteering is taking the time to connect local people with local healthcare services and support residents to make informed choices about a range of issues linked to their health and well-being. Training is provided to assist with this.

We actively encourage residents from Torriano, Peckwater and Oseney Crescent estates and Kenbrook House to volunteer with us, though you can be based anywhere in the local area to volunteer.

There will be training provided for all Community Champions, with ongoing support from your local Coordinator who will help you achieve your goals.
