Information for professionals

First you will need to discuss with the family to establish whether they are eligible for the service. In order to make a referral, you will need to get the family’s permission. Families can also make self-referrals.

If the family are eligible for the service you can make a referral. The method of referral will depend on whether your organisation is registered on the Camden eCAF system.

If your organisation is registered on the eCAF system the quickest and easiest way of making a referral is to complete an eCAF referral form and send it the Family Services team at

If you are a  London Borough of Camden Social Worker you can only refer a family if you are closing the case. You may make a referral either on the eCAF system as described above or using a completed recent initial assessment or core assessment.

For more information about Camden’s eCAF system and Integrated Working please visit the integrated working webpage  or contact the integrated work team on 020 7974 4247.

If your organization is not registered on the eCAF system you will need to download by download the referral form here and email the completed form to or post Family Services Team, Elfrida Rathbone Camden, 7 Dowdney Close, Kentish Town, NW5 2BP.

If you would like to discuss the referral please contact the Family Services team on 020 7424 1601.
